According to recent data, the prices of goods and services for personal consumption have risen by an average of 1.6% compared to the same period last year. The most notable increases have occurred in specific categories that impact daily life. For example, the cost of dining out and accommodation in restaurants and hotels saw the highest rise, with prices surging by 10.8%. For residents and travelers alike, this means a noticeable uptick in the cost of eating out or booking a hotel stay, especially in popular tourist areas like Dubrovnik or Split.
Similarly, the prices of miscellaneous goods and services rose by 6.2%, while health-related costs increased by 5.7%. For Croatian households, this could mean higher spending on personal care items, medical services, and products like medication and health-related treatments.
Food prices, always a key concern for families, increased by 3.1% year-on-year, impacting both locals and visitors. This rise may not seem drastic, but it can add pressure to household budgets when paired with the ongoing economic situation.

Although energy prices dropped by 7.0% in the past year, many households continue to feel the pinch, especially in colder months when heating costs surge.
